PRIVATE AND GROUP INSTRUCTION
Teaching Professional Tony Roberts began his career in golf in 1976 with Landmark Land Company at Belle Terre Golf Club in LaPlace, Louisiana. A well-rounded professional seasoned in all aspects of golf management, Tony is most comfortable on the lesson tee. He has served as Director of Instruction for the City of Kansas City at their four municipal courses, Head Professional/Director of Golf at WinterStone Golf Course in Independence, Missouri, and currently as Director of Instruction at St. Andrews Golf Club in Overland Park, Kansas. A past winner of the Midwest Section PGA Teacher of the Year, Tony is available for private and group lessons at Falcon Lakes by appointment.
Private Instruction
Private instruction at Falcon Lakes with Tony Roberts will seek to identify the current status of a player's game, help him or her set goals, and establish the road taken to achieve these goals. Tony's primary teaching philosophy is to identify the student's current strengths and build around them rather than attempt to mold each student to any one method of play. Teaching aids and drills will be utilized and video will be included when appropriate. Game management and scoring will be emphasized as much as swing fundamentals.

Group Instruction
Four one hour sessions will cover aspects of swing fundamentals, the short game, rules, etiquette, and the mental side of golf. The group instruction sessions are geared toward the beginner but strong enough in fundamentals that the experienced player will benefit as well. Pre-swing fundamentals of grip, stance and alignment will be established as well as in-swing concepts of tempo, swing center, path/plane and finish position.
The group format is perfect for family or friends looking to experience the game together or anyone wanting to improve while enjoying the social aspect of group instruction. Group size is limited to no more than six players at a time.
